Evening update - 30th August

Thank you all for the kind comments on my news earlier.

Thank you all for the kind comments on my news earlier.

Today I have received 2 recorded video pitches from founders, one of whom is happy for me to share that video pitch publicly (watch this space). I have 19 new scheduled meetings and next week's coffees in London are unfortunately full.

I met the wonderful James Parkes for coffee in Guernsey where he is (mainly) taking some family time. James is the founder of My Day App, a wellbeing platform that provides companies with the tools and insights they need to drive behaviour change and meet their wellbeing agenda.

I also had coffee with a friend who is building a new human and client focused fund administrator in Guernsey and had a quick call later in the day with an angel investor who wishes to share deal flow.

Tomorrow I will share the first business I have committed to as unbundled vc and my view of the pros and cons of that investment. Of course, my view will be more pros and more important pros than cons or I would not be investing.

I'm interested to hear what you think of the deal!

pastures new

I am sad to announce I have left 1818 Venture Capital.

I am sad to announce I have left 1818 Venture Capital. I have learnt a lot from Richard and the team over the last four years and am grateful to them all for my time there. Departures can be difficult - happily that is not the case here and we will continue to collaborate wherever we can.

I am happy to announce I will be investing my own capital under the brand you see here, unbundled vc. I will be announcing my first investment commitment under that brand tomorrow.

I plan to be completely open about how I invest, what I like and dislike, and to build in public as much as possible.

Please follow unbundled vc on Twitter and LinkedIn and ask me anything in the comments.
