I invest in Europe-based early-stage software and AI founders who are laser-focused on winning the US market. The US is 10-20x larger than any domestic European market, so if you care about outcome size, you need to target it.

Venture returns are driven by outliers and how big they are. That’s why I care about market size, and about product edge your buyers care about.

I built unbundled vc to move quickly and be straightforward to work with. I invest at pre-seed and seed, most often alongside a lead investor, and I use my US network to get you warm intros to the right US VCs when you raise your next round.

Before venture, I was a professional trader and a two-time AI founder. I studied Maths at Trinity College, Cambridge and later studied AI at Sussex under one of Geoffrey Hinton’s mentors. I built AI-driven automated trading systems and co-built the world’s best poker AI on a £2k home PC before DeepMind existed. I think in terms of risk-reward and maximising expected return.

I was a seed investor in Runna which was acquired by Strava.
